In the case of cigarettes I have not heard anyone comment on the beautiful aroma either left in their hair or their clothes after a night out, or even the smoke from a puff of a cigarette stick.
That is the nuisance of cigarette smoke that it is now forbidden to smoke in public places. People who regularly smoke stale cigarettes are sensitive to bad breath caused by the smoke and nicotine left in their mouths. To non-smokers often the smoker’s breathe smells like stale ash-trays and can be a social problem for nicotine addicts.
